This house was just a partial foundation with a river running nearby when the project began. The planned “fishing cabin” quickly evolved into a refined country get-away. Custom color cabinets stand out against the knotty wood paneled interior of the home. The extremely rubbed through finish reveals the rich cherry wood. The glazed and heavily distressed finish feels right at home in the woods. Granite countertops complement the cabinet colors perfectly. Contrasting color bead-board highlights the display areas of the hutch, glass doors, spice shelves, and open shelving above the pass throughs to the living area. Every detail of this kitchen from the farm sink to the custom wine racks, flows perfectly with the rural feel and open floor plan of this home.
