This space was transformed from what felt like an afterthought area of this home in the Chestnut Hill area of Philadelphia into an elegant and refined dressing area. The transformation begins with the custom maple beaded inset furniture grade cabinets. Finished in Benjamin Moore Metro Gray these cabinets play off of the “bling” of the mirror and crystal chandelier. The flat panel simplicity of the cabinet doors contrast the formality of the mirror, chandelier and marble counters as well, keeping the room cozy while remaining sophisticated. The functional space of the room was maximized by cabinets that followed the slope of the ceiling and others that were recessed into the dormered window areas. Glass display cabinets flank the mirror and a concave radius makeup desk adds function to the area.
